How to remove tracking parameters from URLs

A clean URL keeps the destination but removes extra query parameters used for attribution, ads, and sharing analytics.

Manual method

Look for the question mark in a URL. Tracking parameters often look like utm_source=newsletter, fbclid=..., or gclid=.... Remove the tracking key-value pairs while keeping important product, page, or search parameters.

Browser extension method

A cleaner extension can identify known tracking parameters automatically, which is faster and less error-prone than editing every shared link by hand.

Use caution

Some parameters are necessary for page behavior. Flint focuses on known tracking noise and allows custom rules for users who need more control.
